{"id":658,"date":"2020-01-19T13:36:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-19T04:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/olympics.burps.online\/?p=658"},"modified":"2020-05-11T07:42:12","modified_gmt":"2020-05-10T22:42:12","slug":"third-live-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/olympics.burpsonline.net\/en\/2020\/01\/19\/third-live-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Third live sale of Olympic tickets!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I saw controversial articles saying &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?hl=en&amp;prev=_t&amp;sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;u=https:\/\/www3.nhk.or.jp\/news\/html\/20200114\/k10012245531000.html\" class=\"aioseop-link\">500,000 Olympics tickets still left after second lottery sales<\/a>&nbsp;&#8221; here and there in Japan&#8217;s online media, I received an e-mail from United States Olympic Authorized Ticket Reseller, CoSport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/olympics.burpsonline.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Mail.png?resize=516%2C373&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-467\" width=\"516\" height=\"373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/olympics.burpsonline.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Mail.png?resize=1024%2C741&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/olympics.burpsonline.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Mail.png?resize=300%2C217&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/olympics.burpsonline.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Mail.png?resize=768%2C556&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/olympics.burpsonline.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Mail.png?w=1062&amp;ssl=1 1062w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 516px) 100vw, 516px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;New Tickets and Packages on Sale Thursday, January 16 at 3pm EST&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The email also mentions that they have received newly-allocated tickets from the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee&#8221; but the timing is perfectly matching with the announcement regarding the unsold tickets made by the Organizing Committee. I don&#8217;t know what it indicates \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CoSport sent us the email on the afternoon of January 15, which is less than a day before the public sales starting January 16th. I don&#8217;t want to make a same mistake here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background has-very-light-gray-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Ticket sale started on January 16th (Thursday)<\/strong>&nbsp;!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 11:30 am, I access the CoSport top page on all browsers simultaneously and the sales start countdown begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A half hour later, at 12:00 pm, the number of people ahead of me is displayed in each browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is 4,000 on mobile phone, and It&#8217;s similar on a browser on my laptop but another browser on the same PC did a good job!&nbsp;The queue&nbsp;started with <strong>400 people<\/strong>&nbsp;.&nbsp;I never had such a small number of users in line ahead of me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img are<strong>&nbsp;<strong>swimming, badminton, baseball \/ soft, fencing, golf, shooting, surfing, <\/strong><\/strong>and <strong><strong>table tennis<\/strong>&nbsp;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First of all,&nbsp;I check <strong>golf<\/strong>, but I can only find tickets for women&#8217;s that I have already purchased.&nbsp;No luck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <strong><strong>Swimming<\/strong><\/strong>, it&nbsp;was the first time for me to find tickets for \u201cMen&#8217;s and Women&#8217;s Diving\u201d.&nbsp;But schedule is a bit problem.&nbsp;The session is quite short. It is only one hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Softball<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>tickets are on sale only for bronze medal game that was available before.I do not buy because the session conflicts with the one I already decided to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <strong>ba<strong>dminton <\/strong><\/strong>and<strong><strong> table tennis<\/strong><\/strong>, I am unlikely able to accommodate my schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Fencing<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>is a no go because Makuhari Messe is to far from my place in Tokyo. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m&nbsp;not so familiar with&nbsp;<strong><strong>surfing<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <strong>basketball<\/strong>, tickets are still on sale for women&#8217;s final and men&#8217;s semi-finals \/ bronze medal game&nbsp;, but no tickets are available for men&#8217;s final.  No luck. As you know, or it may be hard to believe, baseball is the most popular sport to play and watch in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until yesterday I had never found even a single ticket for baseball. Where are the ones for preliminary round?!   People care more about knockout stage?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was a bit nervous when I was adding tickets to my shopping card. Cosport, please don&#8217;t say &#8220;Already sold out&#8221;. I got my fingers crossed, and I made it!. I was able to get there quickly because I already logged in with my account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wow, I got tickets for baseball final game!  They must be premium tickets for people in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One problem is the baseball final game is completely conflicting with the one for soccer men&#8217;s final.  I will find out how to deal with it.
